WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A RADIOLOGY CODING ANALYST L1.

This position can be remote or hybrid out of our Eden Prairie, MN office.

The Radiology Coding Analyst L1 is responsible for supporting the Coding and Compliance Team with projects pertaining to all aspects of the medical coding and billing compliance, with a focus on identifying and correcting coding issues that result in underbilling, incorrect billing, or non-compliance with CMS regulations.  The role will also support the Payer Services Team with projects pertaining to medical coding and compliance.

This position supplements our third party billing company’s coding process by obtaining additional information from reporting radiologists, client facilities, and hospital information systems when needed for better coding and reimbursement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with vRad’s team members, third-party billing vendor, vRad clients, and radiologists to obtain information needed to support medical necessity in order for vRad to successfully collect reimbursement for professional radiology services
  • Assist vRad radiologists to successfully participate in Medicare’s quality payment program
  • Responsible for understanding annual changes to Medicare and MIPS policies that affect radiology and the health care industry
  • Research coding and reimbursement questions that come from clients, managers, vRad staff, and radiologists, providing concise answers that are supported by industry-reputable resources, and identify question trends that require further education to larger groups
  • Review radiology reports that are held due to missing information required to support billing, identify root issues, and communicate requests to radiologists so final reports can be billed
  • Review medical necessity denials and identify any coding or documentation errors to submit corrected claims or appeals to third-party payers
  • Identify trends and root causes of billing addendums and medical necessity denials
  • Identify topics for coding and billing education and prepare educational documents for distribution
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vRad clients, third-party billing vendors, and radiologists in order to obtain and provide information
  • Balance and independently complete a variety of assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner that is compliant to policy and procedures
  • Attend and participate in department and committee meetings
  • Encourage and maintain positive working relationships

Experience/Education:

  Required:

  • 1+ years coding experience with radiology modalities
    • Preferred: 2-3+ years radiology specific experience
  • Active AAPC (CPC or greater) or AHIMA (CCS/RHIT or greater) credential
  • Knowledge of Professional coding/billing requirements (CPTs, HCPCS, Diagnoses, Modifiers)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology & disease processes
    • Preferred: Radiology reporting requirements

    Preferred:

  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ years of experience with government and commercial billing and collections
  • Knowledge of MIPS (formally PQRS) program from CMS

Qualifications:

  • Ability to access hospital and billing information systems and identify information, reason for denial, and identify clinical information that would support medical necessity
  • Ability to work efficiently in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proven track record of independently handling coding and compliance projects and working with team(s) to achieve success
  • Knowledgeable in all areas of the revenue cycle, government regulations, and coding
  • Strong professional verbal and written communication skills with ability to handle complex and controversial communications
  • Ability to organize workload, manage assigned tasks, follow-up accordingly, complete tasks, report outcomes, and identify next steps
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to troubleshoot issues independently and identify corrective actions
  • Must possess high level critical thinking, problem solving skills, and self-initiative
  • Must be extremely detail oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Possesses drive for results and meets goals

The salary for this temporary position is $23.50 per hour. The rate for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range. WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES.

This position can be remote or hybrid out of our Eden Prairie, MN office.

The Director of Human Resources will collaborate with the leadership team to attract, nurture, and retain exceptional talent across the organization, aligning with practice growth objectives. This position demands a strategic mind coupled with a hands-on approach, overseeing daily HR operations while actively participating in pivotal strategic initiatives. The director will be tasked with formulating and ensuring the successful execution of plans, systems, policies, and processes related to workforce planning, talent acquisition, talent management and development, team member engagement, compliance, employee relations, and total rewards (compensation and benefits).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the HR team in the execution of daily HR operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the practice’s mission and long-term goals.
  • Offer strategic guidance and coaching to individuals at every organizational level in matters related to talent management.
  • Lead and mentor HR and administrative team, ensuring their professional growth and effectiveness.
  • Act as a cultural champion, reinforcing our values and fostering an inclusive and collaborative workplace environment.
  • Work closely with department heads to understand talent needs and implement effective recruitment and onboarding strategies.
  • Implement training and development programs that align with organizational goals and foster team member growth.
  • Address team member relations matters, conducting investigations and providing guidance in compliance with legal and organization policies.
  • Lead projects to streamline and improve HR processes, tools, and programs with a purpose of deepening the team member experience and fostering vRad’s acclaimed culture.
  • Leverage talent systems and people data to enhance effectiveness and efficiency in making informed talent decisions.
  • Oversee the performance management process, providing guidance on goal setting, performance evaluations, and professional development.
  • Work closely with leadership to address performance issues and support professional development.
  • Stay abreast of employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and mitigating HR-related risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement in HR processes to enhance overall operational effectiveness.
  • Manage and oversee the HR budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration, or a related field: years of experience may be substituted for degree
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in HR or a related field
  • Ability to develop relationships cross functionally that will promote confidence and trust for the HR Department
  • Understanding of employment law and labor related laws and regulations and business practices
  • Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions.
  • Ability to objectively coach team members and management through complex, difficult and emotional issues
  • Strategic planner with technical skills, analytical ability, and strong operational focus
  • Ability to create a high performing, highly motivated culture
  • Must possess professionalism, diplomacy, discretion, sound judgment, flexibility and have the ability to maintain confidentiality

The salary for this position is $115,000-140,000 per year.
