WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A RADIOLOGY CODING ANALYST.

The Radiology Coding Analyst is responsible for supporting the Office of General Counsel with projects pertaining to all aspects of the medical coding and billing compliance, with a focus on identifying and correcting coding issues that result in underbilling, incorrect billing, or non-compliance to CMS regulations.   The Coding Analyst team will also support medical coding needs of other internal departments as required.

This position supplements our third party billing company’s coding process by obtaining additional information from reporting radiologists, client facilities, and hospital information systems when needed for better diagnosis and procedure coding.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works independently with vRad’s third-party billing vendor, vRad clients, and radiologists to obtain information needed to support medical necessity in order for vRad to successfully collect reimbursement for professional radiology services
  • Researches annual changes in Medicare’s quality payment program and understands how to help radiologists successfully participate in the program
  • Responsible for researching and summarizing yearly Medicare changes that affect radiology and the health care industry
  • Conduct coding audits on vRad’s third-party billing company, identifies trends, and provides summary of findings to the coding manager
  • Research coding and reimbursement questions that come from clients, managers, vRad staff, and radiologists, providing concise answers that are supported by industry-reputable resources
  • Review radiology reports that are held due to missing information required to support billing, identifies root issue, communicates requests to radiologist so that final reports can be billed, and identifies/reports trends to coding manager
  • Works medical necessity denials, identifies trends, and tracks outcome of resubmitted claims/appeals
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vRad clients, third-party billing vendors, and radiologists and considers ways to add value (support, information, and services)
  • Identifies topics for coding and billing education, prepares slide presentation, and participates in presenting the topic
  • Balances and independently completes a variety of assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner that is compliant to policy and procedures
  • Serves as back-up to making vRad system updates and maintaining accurate and current code assignments
  • Encourage and maintain positive working relationships and is valued as a coding expert

Qualifications/Education:

  • 3-5 years radiology specific coding experience
  • Active Certified Professional Coder Certification (CPC) and/or Radiology Coding Certification (RCCB) required
  • 3+ years of customer service experience
  • 3+ years of experience with government and commercial billing and collections preferred
  • Ability to access hospital and billing information systems and identify information, reason for denial, and identify clinical information that would support medical necessity
  • Ability to work efficiently in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong professional verbal and written communication skills with ability to address controversy
  • Ability to organize workload, consistently follow up, complete, and report outcomes
  • Proven track record of independently handling wide variety of revenue cycle projects simultaneously with success
  • Be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to troubleshoot issues independently and effectively manage assigned tasks
  • Knowledge of all areas of the revenue cycle preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Must possess high level critical thinking, problem solving skills, and self-initiative
  • Must be extremely detail oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Able to manage own tasks and assist other team members

WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A MANAGER OF FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS.

The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for leading a team of analysts within FP&A. Leadership responsibilities include performing and/or assisting the AVP of Financial Planning & Analysis with revenue and expense aspects of the company’s financial reporting and business analysis process, budgeting and forecasting process and other financial analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the AVP of Financial Planning & Analysis, Chief Financial Officer and senior leadership, deliver the strategic annual financial plans while proactively identifying and addressing gaps or required improvements needed to achieve the desired results
  • Prepare line-item budgets and forecasts including revenue, professional services, SG&A and capital expenses by cost center
  • In collaboration with the AVP of FP&A, drive the quarterly forecasting processes
  • Hire, train and develop direct reports including setting goals and objectives, delegating responsibilities, monitoring progress, and delivering performance reviews
  • Responsible for the oversight of direct reports’ areas of expertise
  • Perform various monthly, quarterly and annual review/analysis activities to support business objectives with business owners within specified deadlines
  • Provide information to Financial Reporting team as required to ensure timely and accurate financial and management reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Partner with business owners to identify drivers of cost to develop dynamic cost models aligning cost expectations to overall business strategy and plan
  • Partner with business owners to identify opportunities for growth and develop business strategies to achieve opportunities
  • Develop fact-based, data-driven measurements of business performance in collaboration with business owners and business needs. Leverage data to measure business performance metrics via actionable dashboard reporting.
  • Identify areas where more financial/operational rigor is required and be responsible for developing, implementing and executing on improvements
  • Assist with creation and deployment of long-term data management structure and data reporting tools
  • Responsible for the professional development of financial planning and analysis staff
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or its equivalent, required; MBA or CPA preferred
  • Five or more years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Two or more years of direct leadership
  • Advanced Excel knowledge, experience using ERP software (Oracle, Epicor, Sage, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, advanced PowerPoint knowledge preferred
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentation material to clearly and succinctly articulate key business drivers of financial outcomes and results of complex analysis
  • Organized, objective and deadline-oriented
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and business acumen
  • Outstanding relationship building capabilities working in cross functional teams and senior management

Summary:

 

The Operations Center at vRad provides world-class customer support to our clients by monitoring and facilitating radiology workflow processes that are critical to patient care on a 24/7 basis for hospitals, clinics and radiologists.  To effectively meet this need, the Operations Support Representatives provide constant monitoring of incoming orders and images to: (i) ensure that all relevant clinical information has been submitted; (ii) complete data order entry, on both a proactive and reactive basis; and (3) identify and/or troubleshoot non-technical issues.

The Operations Center and its staff play a crucial role in assisting doctors and technicians when patient care requires additional information or radiologist-to-hospital conference calls. Properly supporting these activities requires processing a high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls with professional, courteous, and effective communication. Due to the nature of this business and its critical role in facilitating emergent patient care, multi-tasking, following procedure, extreme attention to detail, relationship management, regular and reliable attendance, and a sense of urgency are required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide regular, reliable, and timely attendance for scheduled shifts
  • Monitor incoming orders and images to ensure that all necessary clinical information has been submitted (including image count verification)
  • Perform outbound calls requesting missing images, orders, worksheets or other information requested by doctors
  • Perform data entry of faxed orders
  • Verify hospitals requesting service are covered at the time of request
  • Answer inbound calls
  • Coordinate conference calls for doctors/RNs/rad techs
  • Identify and trouble-shoot issues (i.e. mismatched studies, etc.)
  • Provide documentation of all study activity
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Education:

  • No education required
  • Two or more years of customer related experience in a contact center environment preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as work independently
  • Telephone etiquette skills are essential
  • Medical background a plus
  • Professional, courteous and respectful demeanor
  • High level of attention to detail necessary
  • Strong organizational and prioritization abilities
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and decision making abilities
  • Proficiency in a PC environment utilizing software/programs including Windows, Internet, Instant Messaging/Virtual Chat and general e-mail tools

Summary:

 

The Licensing Coordinator provides administrative and database support for the Licensing Specialists and Licensing Analysts. Is responsible for maintaining medical licenses and processing state license renewals. Familiarity and compliance with state rules, regulations and reporting requirements.  Also responsible for ensuring continuing medical education (CME) compliance prior to license renewals, mandatory state profile compliance, malpractice and adverse action reporting compliance.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Completion of initial and renewal state licensing applications
  • Support in completion of state specific verifications and follow-up with facilities to ensure proper delivery to the medical boards
  • Maintain specific departmental workflow responsibilities as assigned (i.e. renewal workflows, checklists, tasks, etc.)
  • Assist radiologist in the tracking and compliance of: CME requirements (i.e. uploading and reporting), licensing applications, mandatory profile compliance, malpractice/adverse action reporting compliance
  • Mailing, scanning and uploading of items
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications/Education:

 

  • 1-2 years of administrative or related experience preferred
  • Medical Staff Office or previous credentialing or medical licensing experience a plus
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to build effective relationships with peers as well as customers
  • Ability to work in a fully electronic records system with minimal paperwork
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, reliable and responsible
  • Must be able to work independently but also be able to work in a team environment
  • Detail oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment to meet goals
  • Strong organizational skills
