A subspecialty remote breast imaging role for fellowship-trained Breast Imaging Radiologists in a fully remote environment. You interpret screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI, with your schedule arranged around your goals on a productivity-based model with no fixed read quotas.

This role focuses on breast imaging interpretation across a broad mix of hospitals and health systems nationwide, including screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI. You read in a single environment that brings together PACS, RIS, dictation, reporting, and operational support, with fast access to subspecialist colleagues for consults anytime.
Remote breast imaging/telemammography at vRad is screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI, read fully remotely, with a schedule arranged around your goals.
80% mammography, 18% ultrasound, 2% MRI. Predominantly screening mammography.
vRad’s compensation is transparent and productivity-based, and every radiologist reads on the same published rates regardless of tenure. You’re paid by vRad’s Work Unit, calibrated to the time and effort each study takes, and you can track your earnings in real time, with higher pay for nights, weekends, and holidays, and a bonus rate for extra shifts you choose to pick up. For this role, estimated annual compensation: $450,000-$600,000.

This role is supported by the vRad Platform, our proprietary reading environment built specifically for radiologist workflows and backed by in-house IT and operations teams. Technology and support include:
Physicians read from a home workstation within an established remote clinical environment, backed by 24/7/365 in-house support, so you’re never left managing interruptions on your own.
To read breast imaging at vRad you must meet MQSA interpreting-physician qualifications for mammography, plus fellowship training in breast imaging, board certification (ABR or AOBR), and U.S. licensure.
vRad breast imaging radiologists read screening and diagnostic mammography (including tomosynthesis), plus breast ultrasound and breast MRI.
Both. vRad breast imaging radiologists read approximately 90% screening and 10% diagnostic mammograms.
