Summary:

The Database Engineer L3 will support high performing and highly available applications in the vRad core technology platform.  The position is responsible for supporting the logical and physical aspects of vRad’s SQL Server Clinical Applications OLTP environments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement complex and robust technical solutions that are scalable and manageable
  • Write SQL statements for transactional data access, data definition and SQL Server administration
  • Collaborate with local and remote team members to create high-performing, data-driven applications
  • Create complex reports and queries using SQL Reporting Services and Analysis Services
  • Use modern ETL techniques to integrate data from disparate systems
  • Document deliverables so they can be supported by the team
  • Operate and administer SQL Server instances in a high-availability environment
  • Install and configure SQL Server components using best practices, including clustering and mirroring
  • Design scalable storage layouts
  • Monitor and identify issues in real time
  • Triage and solve issues that affect the operation of highly available SQL Server instances, such as blocking and de-blocking and deadlocks
  • Tune SQL statements as necessary
  • Participate in after-hours support rotation
  • Customize commercial products for integration with vRad’s technology platform
  • Assist with project planning to define scope and provide estimates
  • Deliver functionality as promised, in the time estimated
  • Follow vRad’s change management processes when modifying production systems
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to provide guidance to technology decision makers
  • Clarify and codify definitions in the corporate data dictionary
  • Other duties as necessary to support vRad’s success

Qualifications/Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a computer-related field or equivalent work experience
  • Microsoft Database Administrator Certification (MCITP) preferred
  • 5 – 7 years SQL Server experience in mid to large sized environments
  • Experience managing and architecting SQL environments with very large OLTP databases (1 TB or more)
  • Experienced and confident in using advanced T-SQL in creating and updating custom queries, stored procedures, tables, functions and more
  • Experience with installing, configuring and managing SQL Server along with Microsoft High Availability technologies, including Failover Clustering, Database Mirroring, Log Shipping and Replication
  • Must have in-depth knowledge and experience working with a variety of difference performance optimization techniques including index performance tuning, query plan analysis/usage, capturing and analyzing performance counters, code rewrites and more
  • Experience in designing, implementing and monitoring common SQL maintenance plans and custom scripts
  • Ability to manage SQL Server permissions
  • Experience in authoring, editing, communicating and enforcing SQL Server standards and industry best practices
  • Understanding of ETL design concepts
  • Experience with change control management
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced multiple server environment
  • Must be able to communicate with non-technical users
  • Must be able to manage multiple requests at the same time
  • Experience with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS preferable
  • Knowledge of various industry regulations such as HIPAA, PCI, PHI, SOX and how they pertain to the database domain is a plus
  • Experience with OLAP systems is a plus

The salary for this position $100,000-$120,000. WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT ENGINEER L1.

This position is a hybrid role requiring in office at Edina, MN.

Summary:

As a Radiologic Technology Support Engineer Level 1, you’ll play a critical role in supporting and advancing our clinical IT infrastructure. You’ll work hands-on with radiology applications, Windows systems, enterprise management tools, and security technologies, directly impacting the daily success of our radiologists and patients. In this role, you’ll be part of a culture of teamwork and collaboration, working alongside cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, innovate, and ensure seamless operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support a large-scale, remote-first clinical environment using enterprise-grade PACS/RIS systems and secure cloud technologies.
  • Provide advanced remote IT support for the Microsoft 365 Office Suite, vRad security applications, Active Directory, and user account management.
  • Perform workstation imaging, configuration, deployment, and user setup utilizing enterprise tools such as SCCM and MDT
  • Perform remote network troubleshooting and provide advanced support for Windows 11 environments.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with SharePoint for document management, collaboration, and basic site administration tasks.
  • Assist with the evaluation, procurement, and configuration of new hardware and software solutions to meet business needs.
  • Manage clinical hardware and software inventory, ensuring accurate records and the timely shipping, receiving, and delivery of equipment.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance is met for our deployed clinical systems
  • Provide technical and clinical workflow recommendations
  • Participate in project work
  • Participate in the on-call support rotation
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Education:

  • AAS degree, BS, or higher in Information Technology, or a related technical field
  • 2+ years technical experience required
  • Must possess strong customer service skills, positive attitude, and ability to work well with a team.
  • Ability to problem solve quickly and demonstrate strong critical thinking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Occasional travel may be required

WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A SYSTEMS ENGINEER.

This position is a hybrid role requiring in office and onsite at our data centers.

Summary:

The Systems Engineer is responsible for senior level systems engineering design, operation, evaluation and administration at vRad.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary technical escalation point for all areas of systems engineering and participate in the systems team on-call rotation
  • Lead in the definition, acquisition, design, implementation, documentation and support of servers, datacenter and office related technologies
  • Implement and maintain server hardware, storage and software in an enterprise environment
  • Perform engineering design evaluations of current and potential systems technology and IT infrastructure
  • Develop, implement and monitor information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security and regulatory compliance
  • Lead in the design and development of equipment and systems, and redesign existing systems to fulfill the needs of customers
  • Formulate business systems architecture plans, estimate costs and ensure projects meet strategic needs
  • Assist with vendor evaluations and testing procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 8+ years of experience
  • Project management skills (agile)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Extremely detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and the ability to multitask and pivot on a regular basis
  • Microsoft AD/Entra and related Windows services administration (DNS, DHCP, DFS, clustering etc.)
  • Backup and recovery with various systems such as Commvault
  • Enterprise SAN and NAS configuration and support
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • VMWare engineering and administration
  • Cisco UCS platform experience (build and deploy domains, boot from SAN, iSCSI)
  • Splunk (managing, performance tuning, architecting, etc)
  • Experience with LAN administration of TCP/IP networks
  • Exchange administration and spam filtering
  • Enterprise faxing, Enterprise SIEM
  • Linux administration a plus
  • Azure and Teraform experience a plus
  • Kubernetes design and mgmt. a plus
  • Multisite datacenter management and operation a plus
  • MCSE certification or other current relevant certifications a plus
