Trauma cases are assigned immediately and automatically to all credentialed reading radiologists and are required to be read next.
vRad’s unique workflow automatically separates case images into anatomical groups. Multiple radiologists read neuro, body, and extremity studies simultaneously for faster results.
The vRad system notifies radiologists which colleagues are reading the other body regions for the same patient, enabling real-time collaboration at the point of care.
The radiology reports for each body region are sent to the facility as soon as they’re completed, allowing treatment to begin as quickly as possible. Trauma protocol turnaround times consistently average under 12 minutes, even during periods of high volume.
A critical findings summary is included in vRad’s monthly Teleradiology Metrics Report.
Natural Language Processing automatically triggers a call to the referring physician if it identifies relevant stroke language in the radiologist’s dictation—delivering results in as little as two minutes. Call priority is placed on providing results for Head/Cervical Spine studies.
Critical finding calls are made to any number you designate. Want calls to go right to the ED physician’s cell phone? No problem. A unique phone number can be designated on each order, and calls can be configured to include both positive and negative findings.
vRad’s trauma protocol is one of several strategies—including AI—to deliver faster care. 71% of all critical findings entering vRad’s system are automatically accelerated, even if they’re hidden on a routine exam.
