Summary:
The Network and DICOM Integration Engineer is responsible for supporting WAN integration and DICOM data transfer solutions for vRad clients, Platform customers, and Radiologist reading locations. This includes clients that require an onsite hardware solution for reliable and fast data transfer. Provides guidance and high-level software support for both Business and Clinical Applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Configure, test, and troubleshoot VPN connectivity for vRad clients and Platform customers
· Coordinate with vRad clients to install/replace networking/DICOM gateway hardware in client data centers as required and troubleshoot connectivity issues
· Communicate with other departments in reporting and resolving software, hardware and operational issues that impact Clinical Applications and WAN connectivity
· Support Meraki SD-WAN connectivity for remote users and client onsite workstations
· Escalation to engineering resources on bugs and enhancements for both Business and Clinical Applications
· Serve as an escalation point for Operations Center, Radiologists and Tier2 support staff for WAN connectivity, Clinical Application, DICOM Imaging transfer issues
· Ability to participate in on-call rotation as needed for critical escalations
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred
· 5+ years network experience
· CCNA or CCNP level of understanding of routing and switching
· 4+ years IPSEC VPN tunnel management
· Experience with Medical Imaging and Clinical Workflow, including in-depth knowledge of DICOM Standards and protocols
· Experience with PACS and DICOM routers/gateways: INFINITT, GE, Sectra, Fuji, Agfa, Philips, Change Healthcare, Intelerad and DCMSYS
· Knowledge of EHR/RIS systems: Epic, Cerner, Meditech
· Knowledge of HL7 messaging: Rhapsody, API, FHIR
· Strong project management, critical thinking, and analytical skills
· Ability to communicate clearly with customers at all levels of expertise
· Expertise in various networking topologies, protocols, and monitoring systems
· Experience with trouble ticketing systems (Service Now)
· Experience with Internet protocols, Network Address Translation (NAT), and subnetting skills
· Experience with multi-vendor firewall and VPN devices: Cisco (ASA, Routers, Firepower), SonicWall, CheckPoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper, and WatchGuard
· Experience with various System Operating Systems, such as Windows, Linux and Unix
Job Classification:

The salary for this position is $80,000-$100,000. The range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
