The advancements in CT and MR imaging techniques provide radiologists with additional options for biliary imaging, along with the use of sonography. With newer techniques, it is possible to achieve better characterization and earlier detection of common and rare biliary diseases. The authors review recent advances in CT biliary imaging and MR cholangiopancreatography.
