What led you to Radiology as a profession?
As a radiologist, I act as the “doctor’s doctor”. We serve an integral role in supporting referring physicians through disease detection and management guidance. Our extensive training and education allows us to: glimpse inside the patient; read studies to detect potential abnormalities; provide guidance on the severity and management of any findings; and be available for consult, as needed.
What are you passionate about personally?
I’m passionate about travelling and learning about different cultures: those experiences embolden my endeavors in the kitchen and remind me to truly appreciate what matters most, my family.
What advice would you give to an aspiring radiologist?
Clinically correlate! Keep your referring clinician in mind and be helpful with your reports. Anyone can describe findings. A good radiologist gives differential diagnoses; a great radiologist gives appropriate differential diagnoses.
