Licensing Specialist- Eden Prairie, MN



The Licensing Specialist is responsible for obtaining state medical licenses, including quality assurance and application accuracy. Familiarity and compliance with state rules, regulations and reporting requirements.  Also ensuring medical licenses are obtained within specified timeframes as outlined by Physician Services management to ensure a successful start date for the radiologist.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Completion and quality assurance on initial licensing applications
  • Communicate with Licensing Coordinator regarding checklist and verification assistance
  • Frequent follow up, communication and relationship building with outside entities and contacts
  • Set and meet target date goals, provide timely and accurate database notes, consistent follow up on deficiencies and ensuring compliance and completion
  • Maintain specific departmental workflow responsibilities as assigned (i.e. initial workflows, checklists, tasks, target dates, etc.)
  • Alternate Credential Committee member as needed
  • Mentor new team members and assist with training as needed
  • Other duties as assigned




  • 2-3 years Medical Licensing or Credentialing experience preferred
  • Experience with Health Stream’s Echo Credentialing software preferred
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards and HIPAA compliance
  • Experience reviewing and understanding legal documents
  • Experience handling sensitive info and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Detail-oriented and extremely organized, with excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a fully electronic records system with minimal paperwork
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Goal-oriented with excellent negotiation and people skills
